Get Involved

REACH is not just any HCI lab. The prospective scholar should understand before applying that they need a strong intellectual connection to questions around equity, identity, culture, accessibility, low-resource populations, and technology. Below are details on how to get involved with the lab.

Prospective Doctoral Students and Current Students

REACH Lab lives and breathes because of our graduate and undergraduate students. We are seeking individuals who align with our research, mission, and values. Please submit an application to: http://bit.ly/applytoreachlab*
- REACH Lab receives over 100 applications each school year, and Dr. Williams reviews every one of them. With that in mind, there may be a delay in our correspondence due to the lab’s growing popularity. We thank you for your patience.

Current Virginia Tech undergraduate students, please review the Department of Computer Science’s current research projects on the VTURCS website.
If you are a prospective graduate student please apply using the above link. Additionally, please also apply to Virginia Tech’s Department of Computer Science or the Human-Centered Design iPhD Program and state that you are interested in working with Dr. Williams.

Prospective Postdoctoral Students

Please contact Dr. Ihudiya Finda Williams directly if you are interested in being a PostDoc. We welcome collaborative applications to the Virginia Tech’s Presidential Postdoc program.

Summer Internships
